Who was Che Guevara?

As a young man studying medicine.

Guevara travelled rough throughout South Amercan bringing him into direct contact with the impoverished conditions in which many people particularly the indigenous lived. peasantry


In Mexico in 1956, Guevara joined Fidel Castro's revolutionary 26th of July movements, which fought a guerrilla war and ultimately seized power from the regime of the U.S.supported Cuban dictator General Fulgencio Batista in 1959.


After serving in various important posts in the new government, touring the world and meeting with leaders on behalf of Cuban socialism.



After his death, Guevara became an icon of socialist revolutionary movements worldwide.

Las Posadas

Las Posadas means "the inns"or "the shelters "in Spanish. A religious and social celebration that takes place for nine night. From Decemder 16th to 24th , the holidays known as Las Posadas commemorate Joseph and Mary's journey to Bethlehem and their searen for shelter prior to the birth of christ. Las Posadas is a reenactmen of this difficult journey. It is a elaborate preparation for La Navidad (Christmas) in Mexico and some Central American Coutries. This tradition dates back to the sisteenth century and st. Lgnatius Loyola , who used and Aztec festival to teach about the birth of Christ.
